Philosophy
looking within
The human mind is born with knowledge, and neurological evidence validates the belief that we are born with innate knowledge of world. We have all we need to discover the true potential of our being. Self care and self understanding is important in order to manage day to day stress and challenges. Conflicts in relationships are inevitable, so we need to learn to manage them in a productive way. Conflicts are an opportunity to grow if we learn to be mindful.
Method
a tailored approach
My number one priority with a client is to be sure to provide a tailored approach. Every individual is unique, and has unique experiences and ways of navigating the world, so it is of the utmost importance that the guidance they receive is tailored to their needs and presented in a straightforward manner. I help clients bring their authentic self to the surface so they can free themselves from the emotional imprisonment their experiences may have brought to them. Through my years of training and keen ability to assess, I am able to provide insightful guidance to individuals and couples. With couples, I use the Julie and John Gottman method for couple’s therapy, which in my years of experience has been proven very effective. I work with individuals wherever they are in the journey of their lives, and firmly believe that the pace of therapy is unique to the individual and the context of their situation. With over 35 years of experience, my insights come from a level beyond my training, but from an intuitive compassion rooted in empathizing with my clients.

The CMBM Farsi-speaking initiative bridges the gap between under-served Farsi-speaking communities and methods vital to their collective healing; transgressing cultural and language barriers to heal communities. I participate as a faculty member, training psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals in mind-body medicine skills and techniques, with a current focus of the results of this training being directed to alleviating the suffering of the Iranian people during this trying time.
